Description
A church spire rises from the sand in Skagen, Denmark. The rest of the church is covered by the sand from drifting sand dunes. Throughout the 18th century, it gradually became covered by sand, until finally the congregation could no longer use it. It was closed in 1795 and in 1810 the body of the church was taken down.

Love how the pathway guides my eye up to the spire of the church with the interesting architecture. The soft pastel/muted hues give this composition a look akin to a painting.

I follow Michel's critique. Interesting composition, excellent colour contrast with historical feeling in it. Excellent!
