Being a photographer often means that you just HAVE TO go out and shoot whether it's for a real assignment or it's for an artistic purpose and an urge to create. You may have awesome photos in your head, but nature doesn't always cooperate with your wants. "Abstract World" is a result of looking for beauty where few people would find it. The light was dull, and the weather was grey, but I had to find something so I photographed leaves under the thin layer of ice on a lake. I had already made a digital map that I could fill with my photo "Leaves under Ice". I chose turqoise for the background layer before I added my photo "Beauty in Decay" as a texture layer. The possibilites are endless!

In the world of today we need to appreciate and connect more with nature. If we do not, how are we going to preserve and take care of it?
