This is by far the most interesting photograph of the iconic Flatiron Building I've ever seen. Alfred Stieglitz photographed it in the late 20s, but your angle and treatment is more creative and unique. Love the yellow cabs.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Carl!

Love this photo and the small touch of color in the taxicabs. This would be great to add to the Black and White Photography with a Touch of Color group (http://fineartamerica.com/groups/black-and-white-photography-with-a-touch-of-color.html?tab=overview). c/v/f

Thank you so much for your generous words!

Artist's Description

The iconic Flat Iron building or Fuller building in New York City. Black and white photo with yellow cabs.

From Wikipedia: The Flatiron Building, originally the Fuller Building,is a triangular 22-story steel-framed landmarked building located at 175 Fifth Avenue in the borough of Manhattan, New York City, and is considered to be a groundbreaking skyscraper. The building sits on a triangular block formed by Fifth Avenue, Broadway and East 22nd Street, with 23rd Street grazing the triangle's northern (uptown) peak. As with numerous other wedge-shaped buildings, the name "Flatiron" derives from its resemblance to a cast-iron clothes iron.

The building, which has been called "one of the world's most iconic skyscrapers, and a quintessential symbol o...

About Randi Grace Nilsberg

Randi Grace Nilsberg

Hi, my name is Randi Grace Nilsberg and I am a Norwegian fine art photographer. Through my camera lens I feel a connection with nature, a connection I hope to share with the viewer. In the world of today we need to appreciate and connect more with nature. If we do not, how are we going to preserve and take care of it? What do you do when life wears you out and tells you you don't have a job? You find your inner passion and let it surface! I have been interested in photography since I was a child, and when I lost my job and had to give the art of photography a chance. Being able to create in times of depression and feelings of worthlessness is a great comfort. Little did I know this would be an unpaid full time job! Anyway, I love the...
